2008 Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference : Timecapsule

The 2008 Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference was held from 19 – 23 August 2008 at the Camelot Conference Centre in Hillcrest, near Durban.

The godfather to the conference was the late Bernie Krone.

One of the highlights was the medieval themed dinner held where all participants dressed up in costumes.

The winner of the best paper award was Richard Puchner, and the best presenter award was given to Trevor Green.
